What are the best Valorant sensitivity settings?

Strategy Jun 20, 2022

Valorant is one of the most popular FPS games that has been getting more popular by the day. Many new players keep joining the game every day, and some find it a bit confusing to learn all the new things from the start. Hence, in today’s blog, we will be getting into Valorant Sensitivity Settings, which will help you to control your mouse better and also give you a better aim. Sensitivity is one of the most important factors when you are in a game, as that would help you to play better, and would increase your chances of getting into better players and opponents.

What is DPI?

Before we get into the settings of Valorant, let us understand some of the basic concepts. The first thing that you will need to know is the DPI. If you are just starting out, then you might be confused as to what DPI is. Well, to put it simply, when you move your mouse, the cursor will move too. Now, if you move an inch on your mouse, the cursor is supposed to cover some distance too. This covering of the distance is known as DPI. The standard DPI on a mouse is 400. However, the maximum amount of DPI varies from mouse to mouse. However, the majority of gamers prefer an 800 DPI. Some gamers prefer 1000 DPI, but we recommend that you avoid such high DPIs because they make controlling the mouse and your own movements extremely difficult.

Then what is eDPI?

The next thing that you might be wondering about would be, what is eDPI then? Well, basically it is the DPI that your mouse is supposed to follow when in the game. Basically, the cursor inside the game is a bit different from the normal cursor that is available on your PC. The eDPI is the ratio of the DPI of the original cursor and the in-game cursor. This will change from game to game, and you can change it from the game’s settings. This is what is mostly known as the sensitivity settings. Hence, if you are changing the sensitivity, that means that you are changing the eDPI of the game.

The settings that we would recommend are:

DPI-800

eDPI-320

Polling Rate- 1000

In-Game Sensitivity - 0.4

Scoped Sensitivity- 1

Windows Settings- 6

Now let us have a look at the settings of the professional players:

Conclusion

However, it is not always the best option to follow the pros, and sometimes you must make sure to experiment and find out for yourself which setting suits you the best. Sensitivity depends on the mouse and the control of the cursor. When you go through your own, then you will understand better which settings suit you the most.
