Call of Duty Modern Warfare II: Season 2 will arrive in 2023, later than anticipated
As things stand, many people were looking forward to Season 2 debuting on February 2nd at the start of next month. Several reports have already exposed a significant amount of material. All things considered, the next season should revive player interest in Activision's existing games. The majority of gamers have been hoping for that. Instead of arriving on February 2nd, it will likely do so by February 15th, 2023, at least two weeks later. It indicates that there is still a full month until the start of the next season. This suggests that Warzone 2 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II may lose more gamers in the near future. It's because many of them think they have no reason left to spend so much time playing these games. The Chimera Assault Rifle, Shipment multiplayer, and the game's first Raid were all included in Season 1 Reloaded's December 14 update for Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2. Since then, a few upgrades have fixed bugs and brought back loadout drops to buy stations, but gamers eagerly anticipate the next content drop with the February Season 2 update.
The Battle Pass timer in-game indicates that Season 1 would expire on February 1; however, an update to the game files indicates the update has been postponed. The last Season 1 bundle will come on February 2, and the "dates finish on February 15" indicate that Season 2 will begin on that day, according to data miner CODSploitz, who has previously successfully predicted the delivery dates for bundles.
This would result in a two-week delay and a two-month gap between content releases. The update for Vanguard Season 2 last year was postponed from February 1 to February 14 to allow the developers additional time to work on reliability, bug repairs, and "optimizations to gameplay and game balance," and the update was finally released on February 15 as planned. As the game files now purportedly indicate that Season 1 would continue through February 15, there seems to be a probability that the same may occur again. Naturally, given that the game files don't often provide an accurate image, this is far from an official confirmation. Although Season 2 has not yet been officially announced, sources indicate that it will include the first Resurgence map for Warzone 2, Gun Game, Gunfight, and Cranked for MW2 multiplayer, as well as the Crossbow and Vepr-12 Shotgun for both games.
