Revenant Esports adds Paradox to create a six-man Valorant Roster

Newsroom Jun 16, 2022

Formerly known as 'God Particles’, Revenant Sports is India's most powerful valorous roster. They were one of six teams competing in the latest Skyesports Champions Series qualifiers in South Asia, where they made a strong showing on the group stage.

The squad got off to a good start, storming out on Enigma Gaming and Global Esport. Giving a shocking result to Global Esports and succumbing to Enigma Gaming in the final round. However, both Enigma Gaming and Global Esports were able to manage to get to the Finale of the competition.

Despite a great start to the tournament, Revenant Esports were unable to turn their results into wins in the playoffs and were unfortunately knocked out on the third day.  Nevertheless, the team's raw potential and talent were undeniably impressive.

Announcements made post the playoffs

The squad announced a collaboration with AMD and Corsair shortly after their run in the SCS playoffs, as well as a player turnover, with Scargod exiting the club.

They revealed Shailesh "Blackhawk" Dalvi as the team's new fifth player yesterday.

Kasif "Paradox" Sayyed has joined Revenant's roster, bringing the total number of players to six. True Rippers' previous captain, Paradox, still competes in several Esports titles and has represented India at the top level in a number of games.

Bit about Paradox

The last time Paradox was seen playing was with Team Valor, which overcame all other teams to win the Indian Qualifiers, defeating Reckoning Esports.

In the new meta, Paradox has been seen playing Raze instead of a sentinel. In the last 30 days, he's played Cypher the most, as well as Killjoy and Viper as support agents. It will be intriguing to see how the new Revenant Esports will look with the addition of Paradox and Blackhawk.

Exciting times ahead

The team's first LAN event with this six-man roster will be the Skyesports Souvenir Series in Hyderabad. It'll be fascinating to see if the six-man roster works with Whimp as the IGL.

With the addition of Paradox, The new Revenant Esports would look like this:

  • Saaransh “Whimp” Dang
  • Abhay “KnightRider” Mulchandani
  • Arnav “Logistaa” Kalra
  • Garvit “Ember” Nehra
  • Shailesh “Blackhawk” Dalvi
  • Kasif “Paradox” Sayyed

With Rahul "HBK" Kumar as the team's coach, it'll be interesting to watch how the new roster works and what roles each player plays, especially since practically all of the players are versatile and adaptable. There's a lot of potential with this lineup.

For Revenant Esports to gain sponsors and build a well-rounded Valorant roster ahead of a shifting competitive landscape is a good indication for Revenant supporters and Valorant fans in India in general.
