Vodafone Idea said on Friday that it has teamed up with the Paris-based provider of gaming technology, CareGame, to provide 5G mobile cloud gaming to India. In a statement, Vodafone Idea stated it would show out 5G cloud gaming for its subscribers at the India Mobile Congress in 2022.

According to the telecom, the arrangement will make AAA mobile gaming available to Vi subscribers, allowing mobile game fans to experience high-quality mobile games across major genres on any Android or iOS smartphone device without any download.

VI and their Cloud Gaming uses

Notably, Bharti Airtel, a competitor of Vi, used the experimental 5G spectrum provided by the Department of Telecommunications to perform the nation's first cloud gaming trial in a 5G environment in Manesar in September of last year (DoT). Mobile gaming is a critical agenda item for us to encourage customer involvement. According to Avneesh Khosla, Chief Marketing Officer of Vodafone Idea, "We have been steadily growing our gaming portfolio, and this collaboration with CareGame will deliver India's first mobile cloud gaming service on Vi 5G for our consumers to receive the best gaming experience at IMC 2022.
