The dramatic Apex Legends Global Series (ALGS) has ended after an eight-game final at London's Copper Box Arena. According to Hannah Marie from London's Copper Box Arena, TSM has finally reclaimed the ALGS Split 1 crown from Dark Zero Esports, which dominated 2022's LAN competitions.

TSM is known for dominating the North American area and is one of the most well-known Apex Legends teams. They have consistently performed well throughout the tournament, moving up from the Group Stage into the Winner's Bracket before maintaining a top-10 position to stay out of Elimination Bracket 2. Their main opponents in North America were NRG and Acend from the EMEA region.
Dissecting the process of becoming the ALGS Split 1 champions
The Group Stage was the first stage of the three-part ALGS LAN Playoffs structure. Groups A through D, which consisted of 40 qualifying teams, competed on February 2 and 3, 2023. The third and final long day, or bracket stage, occurred on February 4. Despite winning the hearts of the London fans, special teams like Jlingz Esports, an EMEA emerging star team from the UK, nearly missed qualifying for the finals.
TSM easily advanced through each tournament round, topping the scoreboard in the Group Stage and avoiding the bottom 10 in the Bracket Stage to secure a spot in the finals. Rivals NRG followed closely after, placing second in Group Stage with just a few positions behind them, and on Day 3, exceeding the eventual victors in the Brackets. Match Point is the format used for ALGS LAN finals. Teams must amass at least 50 points or the match point to win. Then, to get the desired championship, they must completely defeat their opponent.

TSM's timely late-game Valkyrie sky-dive gave them the ideal position to eliminate the other teams and win the trophy after reaching game eight with four teams on match point. The famous "ImperialHal" made this series-defining choice in a split-second, as TSM's Evan "Verhulst" recounted in one of their first interviews after winning ALGS Split 1. "We didn't discuss it beforehand, but that was Hal. We went on the spur of the moment. We didn't discuss it; we just took advantage of the chance since we always have faith in our IGL." Verhulst stated, "It placed us in the finest position."

TSM has raised the standard for the Apex Legends competitive scene as the ALGS Split 1 champion. In a few weeks, Split 2 will commence, and the squad will begin the arduous process of defending their title as LAN champions. After the LAN, Coach 'Raven' said their goal is to "simply keep winning."
