Tribe Gaming succeeds in overcoming obstacles to win the title of COD Mobile World Champions
Tribe Gaming hoped to cap the year with a win at the CoD Mobile World Championship Finals 2022 after having a fantastic year with back-to-back triumphs in competitions. They even defeated China's Q9 in the Group Stage and were poised to continue their winning streak. In the opening game of the Playoffs, they were, however, halted in their tracks. Tribe Gaming lost the competitive best-of-five series against the Chinese behemoths Wolves Esports by a narrow margin of 3-2.
They were among the first four teams to lose in the World Championship Lower Bracket. The North American champions, on the other hand, kept their composure and prevailed in the Lower Bracket. They defeated STMN and Omega in their first two games by scores of 3-0 each to get to the lower bracket quarterfinal. They again faced Wolves Esports, who had previously eliminated them from the upper bracket in the playoffs. Tribe proved why they were among the greatest in the world and exacted their retribution this time. They won the series 3-0 to eliminate the Wolves from the contest.

A Tough Final: Tribe Gaming VS Luminosity
In the CoD Mobile World Championship 2022 finals, Tribe faced fellow NA representatives Luminosity Gaming after winning their section of the lower bracket. The two teams had met many times in the last month, not just this one. In November, they competed against one another in the Mobile Mayhem 2022 Fall North America. The tribe dominated the moment to win the series 4-1. But Luminosity wasn't going to make it so simple in the Grand Finals, so I was hoping for a repetition of that performance.
Tribe seemed to be on track for a close-to-clean sweep after winning on the Hardpoint, Search and Destroy, and Control modes after falling 1-0 to start the series due to being in the lower bracket. The following two series in the Hardpoint and Search and Destroy modes saw Luminosity begin their comeback, proving they weren't going down without a fight.
Both games were easily won, bringing the series to game seven in the Control mode, where Luminosity would want to get the upper hand. Tribe, nevertheless, won the game 3-2 and earned the CoD Mobile global champions title. Of the $1.7 million prize money, they will take home $700,000, while Luminosity will get $280,000.
What COD will mobile Esports do next?
This was the first full Esports season for the game after the COVID-19 epidemic impacted the CoD Mobile World Championships in 2020 and 2021. For fans of CoD Mobile Esports, the major LAN tournament in Raleigh was just the icing on the cake. The season of 2023 will now take center stage.
Although Activision hasn't provided any information yet, fans may anticipate a format similar to this years. Warzone Mobile, which Activision will probably promote for Esports as well, will debut in 2023 as well. How the tiles coexist in the ecosystem is still up in the air.
