Battlegrounds Mobile Open Challenge (BMOC)
This was one of the most popular BGMI Esports events that took place this year at the very beginning. The BMOC was an Open Challenge where a lot of teams took part all across the world. It was one of those events that had managed to create a buzz in the Esports community regarding BGMI events. Before that, there had really not been much talk about BGMI events or tournaments that were big enough to create hype all across the continent.

Some 64 teams took part in the Open Challenger, and the team that won the tournament was Global Esports. The others who came as runner-ups were Team Soul, OREsports, and Hyderabad Hydras. It was quite a great start for not only India, but other countries that started to take BGMI as an Esports event and more than just a game.
Battlegrounds Mobile Pro Series Season 1
This was one of the major Indian Esports events that were held by BGMI, and people went almost crazy over it. The BGMI Mobile Pro Series Season 1 was held in India and only Indian teams could participate in it. It could be viewed as a warm-up for Indian Esports players to get used to competing in the big leagues. The Series has been taking place ever since May, and the Grand Finals were over just a few days ago, on June 12th. There were a total of 24 teams that were participating in the event, and only 16 qualified for the finals.

The Grand Finals had drawn quite a huge attraction from the Esports community. The live streams had always had a constant of a million viewers and sometimes it would drop to thousands. However, there is no doubt that the finals were something that everyone was looking forward to. The Grand Finals were completely dominated by Team Soul, and they managed to get the first position and a prize pool of ₹7,500,000. The other teams that were the runner-up and got some lucrative prize pools were OREsports, Enigma Gaming, and Global Esports.
Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS)

This tournament started at the very end of December 2021 and went on till January 16th, 2022. The tournament was eagerly anticipated and eagerly watched by the global Esports community. The series featured many popular Indian gaming teams, and there was no doubt that it was a lot of fun to watch. What attracted so many viewers was that many of the BGMI streamers had already gotten into the world of Esports by then, and also many were promoting and encouraging their audience to watch the Series. There were some 16 teams that qualified for the Finals, and among them, the winner was Skylightz Gaming. The other runner-ups were TSM, Team XO, and GodLike Esports. The winner of the BGIS was supposed to qualify for the PMGC in 2021. However, GodLike esports had gone with them to the event, as at that time, Skylightz Gaming did not have the required travel documents.
