Top 5 Valorant Esports Teams

Community May 2, 2022

One of the fastest-growing Esports that has been taking over the world right now is Valorant. Riot Games has managed to bring another epic game to the world after League of Legends. After the recent VCT Masters 2, the hype is only growing stronger for everyone. There are multiple changes in the games every season, and that makes them all the more attractive for the players. With new characters, maps, and battle passes, the changes keep getting better, bringing in more players than before. In today’s blog, we will be breaking into the top 5 Valorant Esports Teams in the world.

The Top 5 Valorant Esports Team

Without wasting much time, let us get into the top 5 Valorant Esports teams in the world:

You will have to admit it, after the amazing finish at the Champions Tournament at the end of 2021, Ascend has really managed to win people’s hearts. The smooth win was a spectacle to watch, and this European organisation has been one of the strongest opponents for most of the teams in the game. Though they were unable to be seen in the VCT's first Masters, they had undoubtedly given their all in the Championship. They have been shining high since their very first competition among the EU teams. There is no doubt that Acend is one of the strongest teams in Valorant Esports right now, and any other team will have a hard time removing them from their title.

The recent roasters have some active and inactive players right now. This is something that might affect Acend’s chance of dominating, as a change in the roaster might mean a change in the team’s gameplay and tactics. Nonetheless, the roasters include zeek, starxo, cNed, who is planning on leaving the team and focusing on other things, Kiles, and BONECOLD, who is the in-game leader. The last two of them have been inactive for a while, and we hope that they do not leave the team.

The second winner of the Valorant Championship 2021 has definitely got a huge fan following. This is not only because of their player nAts, but also because of their extremely aggressive gameplay. They first stole the spotlight in the first Masters, where many had hoped that they would definitely win the trophy. However, the Russian Esports team exceeded expectations in the VCT 2021: Stage 3 Masters-Berlin. This was an extremely satisfactory win to witness, as their aggressive gameplay and tactics are always much appreciated.

Their current roasters include Chronicle, d3ffo, Sheydos, nAts, and Redgar, who is the in-game team leader. Their major achievements and wins had come in the year 2021, when they had decided to actually work on their aggressive games, rather than go defensive. Basically, they have taken their strength and just made it stronger so that they can be invincible against their opponents, and it does work most of the time. Gambit’s gameplay is always a pleasure to watch.

When Valorant first came out, there was no doubt that only one team would be the King of Valorants, and that was the Sentinels. From the very start of 2021, it was extremely apparent that they had the potential to rule and dominate the Esports events of Valorant. They had also proved this by winning the VCT 2021: Stage 2 Masters-Reykjavik. It was an extremely joyous victory for the American organisation, where they are equally balanced with some of the best players in the team. However, now they have dropped in the ranks because of their degrading performance. They don't appear to have improved their gameplay or changed many of their tactics since the Masters. This is something that might harm them further, and they might fall further down the ranks.

Their current roasters include ShahZaM, who is the in-game leader, SicK, dapr, TenZ, and Kanpeki. This is going to be quite an interesting match as they have recently brought in Kanpeki as their team member and had Zombs replaced by him. Many of their fans are of the opinion that this was not a wise choice on the part of the Sentinels and that they could have brought in Sinatraa instead, who is a content creator under the Esports team right now. Well, we will definitely get to know if the decision was good or bad soon enough in the next championships.

Team Liquid

This is another Esports team that has been showing quite a lot of promise for quite some time. They had massive victories in the VCT 2021: EMEA Stage 2 Challengers Finals and the VCT 2021: Europe Stage 3 Challengers Finals 2021. However, they were doing well, until they got thrown off by Fnatic in the VCT 2021: Stage 2 Masters-Reykjavik and came in 4th. Still, many people have a lot of hope for the Netherlands' organisation. They do need a lot of work on their game skills, but there is no doubt that they are capable of quickly climbing the ranks. As a result, their gameplay and strategies are extremely entertaining to watch, and they would need to practise more to execute it gracefully.

Their current roasters include soulcas, L1NK, ScreaM, Jamppi, who is the in-game team leader, and Nivera. All of them are extremely talented players, but many of their fans have pointed out that they need to get more coordinated to actually pull off a great match. We do have a lot of hope for this team and hope they will soon do better in the coming tournaments.

KRU Esports

They are easily one of the hardest-working teams in the world. They have really improved on their gaming skills, and this Argentine Esports team has surely earned their rank in the list. They had always been doing amazing in the LATMs. However, when it came to the Masters and the Championships, they could not perform that well. Yet their fan following kept increasing because of their unique gameplay. They felt that the team needed a bit more guidance, and then it would be as good as any of the other pro teams out there. That is exactly what happened in 2021. It managed to defeat some of the most well known Esports teams like Sentinels, Fnatic, etc. in the Valorant Championship 2021. However, it was finally eliminated by Gambit, and it came in third.

Apart from this major victory, as mentioned before, they have been doing fairly well in the qualifiers and the playoffs. We hope that they will soon rise through the ranks and win the Masters or the Championships. The current roaster includes Klaus, who is the in-game team leader, Mazino, NagZ, delz1k, and keznit.

These were the top five Valorant Esports teams. This list was mostly based on personal opinion. There are other great teams out there, like Fnatic, Cloud9, Team Envy, Team Secret, etc. If you feel that some other team should be on the list, do let us know in the comments below!
