SMG, Nova Esports, and LGD Gaming qualify for PMGC 2022!

With the conclusion of the PEL Summer, the top three teams of the event have qualified for the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2022.

The top three teams from PEL Summer have already qualified for the PUBG Mobile World Championship (PMGC) 2022. SMG, the event's champions, advanced to the PMGC Grand Finals, while Nova Esports and LGD Gaming earned spots in the league stage, which gets underway on November 22.

With Nova Esports leading SMG by only four points going into the last game of the PEL Finals, it was determined which team would win the championship. From Game 1 to Game 19, Nova Esports held the #1 slot. The group performed well on day one, finishing 44 points clear of STE in second place.

The squad failed to maintain a substantial advantage in points due to poor performance on the second and fourth days. SMG defeated them in the championship round after taking the five-kill chicken supper.

The top 16 teams will compete in the PMGC Grand Finals, with 13 teams advancing through the league stage and three receiving direct invitations. After the PEL Summer finale, SMG is one of the three parties to answer the call. However, Tencent has not yet disclosed how the other two teams would choose the invitations to the Finals.

There will be 48 teams competing on the PMGC League stage, including three from China. While the remaining category (fourth from China) will qualify via the PMGC PEL Qualifiers, which will take place from September 29 to October 23, Nova Esports and LGD Gaming have increased their spots. Through PEL Summer, they could reserve their seats for the World Championship. These teams will provide a second opportunity to qualify for the competition.

Nova Esports has become the first team to earn a spot in the World Championship's three editions. The group also bought the two earlier releases. On November 22, the massive event will begin, and it will last until January 23, 2023. The competition has a total budget of 4 million USD, and the Indonesian local network will host the final.

After winning the most points in regional PMPLs this year (Spring + Fall), R8 Esports from Saudi Arabia advanced to the league stage. The Autumn season of PMPL 2022 has already begun in several locations. Each region's top team will earn a spot in the world championship.
