According to a Tom Bull for Esports report, Sentinels will sign the current SSG squad to compete in the London Split One Playoffs next weekend. The group includes Mark "DROPPED," Joseph "Frexs" Sanchez, and Angello "xenial" Cardenas Frexs and xenial were first selected by the organisation about two years ago, and Thees has been representing SSG as a trio for more than a year. Bull's report indicates that DROPPED might or might not remain with the Sentinels when the Split One Playoffs are over. DROPPED instead teamed up with OpTic Gaming in recent third-party competitions like Hyperluxe's Oversight Circuit, while SSG participated in the Split playoffs alongside longstanding Complexity player Bowen "Monsoon" Fuller. Frexs and xenial have also been seen battling against other players, including CLG's Robert "Dimi" Johnson and Mac "Albralelie" Beckwith, in several competitions and scrims.

Nevertheless, with the change, Sentinels should reclaim first place in North America. While Adam "senoxe" Lau and Nicholas "Crust" Kell, the core of the former Sentinels, were long regarded as one of the most terrifying teams to fight in North America, over the course of 2022, the team appeared to be a shell of what it once was, failing to qualify for both LAN tournaments in ALGS year two before being demoted to the Pro League qualification tournament after the first split of year three. On the other hand, the current SSG group has long been praised as one of the area's most reliable teams. Since the NA Pro League's debut in 2021, they have never failed to place in the top 10, and in the previous two ALGS Championships, they took sixth and fifth place.

LEC 2023 WINTER SPLIT
LEC 2023 Winter Split is here. Riot Games uncovered its arrangements to change the transmission timetables of the leagues in its League of Legends Esports biological system on the fifteenth of December. Thus, the League of Legends EMEA [Europe, Center East, and Africa] Title (LEC) will be played on…

What the Sentinels' whole roster will look like in Split Two of the Pro League will be the largest unanswered question regarding their new design. Several capable free agents, including the aforementioned players, can complete the roster if DROPPED does depart for OpTic gaming. Monsoon and Albralelie are rated highly in the pro Apex scene and are considered members of the old guard. Both have served as IGLs or co-IGLs for a period in their squads. Given that the team has demonstrated a relatively flexible attitude to IGLing (with Frexs being one of NA's most experienced IGLs), those ideas should match the new Sentinels culture well. With only one week left before the Split One Playoffs start on February 2, the North American Apex roster-mania is getting busier.
