PMGC 2022's S2G Esports campaign
Due to the competition's many unexpected and surprising outcomes, the PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2022 was a very choppy ride for the viewers. The greatest shock was the termination of Nova Esports' lopsided dominance at the pinnacle of the PUBG Mobile championship. Since they started competing in the Global Championships in 2019, Nova has won the past two PMGCs and consistently placed in the top two. However, it doesn't diminish the accomplishments of this year's victors, who have been outstanding in their own right.

Nearly all of the teams in the top 8 of the table had a chance to win the championship going into the final day, but the margins gradually became larger and were out of reach for other teams. However, S2G Esports quickly surged away and became unstoppable.

Another unexpected performance came from the Nepalese team DRS, who finished second despite being the last team anybody had predicted would fight for first place and thereby demonstrate their potential. The teams who fared well in the group rounds, including clubs like Nova, 4 AM, Influence Chemin, and Buriram United, did not appear to recover that momentum again in the Grand Finals, contrary to what many people had anticipated.
Prize pool
Even though fewer prizes were up for grabs at the PMGC this year, the total was still substantial. In addition to the $10,000 participation reward they received during the group rounds, each team competing in the Grand Finals also received a participation incentive of $20,000. The champions, S2G Esports, received a check for $400,000, while DRS Gaming and Alpha7 Esports, who finished second and third, received checks for $292,000 and $217,000, respectively.
PMGC 2022 honors go to the PUBG Mobile S2G Esports champions
The Finals MVP, the most coveted individual award in the competition, was won by Top from STE, who also won the Gunslinger award for accumulating the most kills. 4 AM Wei Wuxian, also known as Wwx, won the Eagle Eye award for the longest kill, while VPE FlukeTH won the Field Medic award for performing the most resurrections. Last but not least, T2K Sand3shS earned the title of Grenade Master for defeating most opponents with grenades.

The West region's candidate, S2G, won the competition, bringing the PMGC 2022 to a successful conclusion. Additionally, it stopped a Chinese team's appearances on the podium in international competitions. S2G has continuously shown that it is capable of great things, and this PMGC is the competition when it meets all of its goals and realizes its full potential. PUBG Mobile's new season will shortly begin, although with a few small modifications.
