The Indian Qualifier organised by Revenant is one to remember. The team, considered one of the best in the region, had a terrible start to the competition, with three back-to-back losses to finish in last place in the Group Stage. Yet in the Playoffs, they made a stunning return and defeated Gods Reign, True Rippers, and S8UL Esports to get to the Grand Final.
They faced the powerful Marcos Esports in the Grand Final. Nonetheless, the squad kept up its incredible run in the playoffs to defeat them 2-1 in a compelling best-of-three series and win the India championship.
Pokémon UNITE squad leader Jeet "Swifty" Kundra of Revenant Esports stated, "We had a pretty hard start to the India qualifier and dropped some important matches to finish in last in the group stage. "Thank goodness, the event structure also enabled us to participate in the Playoffs. We returned to the drawing board, worked hard, examined our errors, and finished a fantastic comeback. We are excited to represent India in Kuala Lumpur, and it feels great to be the Indian champions again. After winning the India Qualification, Revenant Esports won $5,000, while Marcos Gaming was given $2,500. S8UL Esports, who finished third, received $1,500.
