The PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2022 will reportedly begin on November 22, 2022, and conclude on January 23, 2023.

The largest PUBG Mobile event of the year, the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2022, has been detailed by Tencent. The League Stage and the Grand Finals will be the two phases of PMGC 2022. More places will be available for the PUBG Mobile Global Championship in 2022.

Two areas, East and West, have been established for the competition, and 24 teams from each zone will compete to get to the Grand Finals. The prize pool for PMGC 2022 will be $4,000,000, which is smaller than the prize pool for the tournament's previous iteration, $6,000,000. In the tournament's championship game, the top 13 teams from the league stage will take on three invited teams.

PMGC 2022 Schedule and Location

On November 22, 2022, the league stage of the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2022 will start, including 48 teams qualified through regional competitions. In January 2023, the PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2022 Grand Finals will take place. In Indonesia, there will be a LAN event for the grand finals. Tencent has not yet disclosed the tournament's precise schedule or structure. PMGC 2022 will consist of two stages: the League stage and Grand Finals. The PMGC 2022 League stage will last for four weeks and include premier teams from across the globe.

PMGC 2022 slots and teams

The PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2022 has more places available, according to Tencent, the tournament's organizer. The global championship will include 51 teams this year, of which 48 teams from the regional competitions will be seeded into the league stage. The remaining three will get direct invitations to the grand finals.

Fans of PUBG Mobile have seen Chinese teams dominate prior iterations of the world championships. The clear winners of PMGC 2020 and PMGC 2021 were Nova Esports. Tencent has announced four spots for Chinese teams. The clubs who finish second and third in the current PEL (Peacekeeper Elite League) 2022 will proceed to the league stage of the competition, while the winner will get a straight invitation to the championship match. Later this year, a regional competition will select who will fill the fourth Chinese position.

Additionally, Tencent has revealed the PUBG Mobile Regional Clash. Top teams from China and South East Asia will fight against one another in this four-day event in September 2022. Tencent has not released the places for the Indian teams, maybe due to the ambiguity surrounding the legal status of BGMI in India.
