One of the biggest stories of PMPL Thailand will undoubtedly be that both Faze and MiTH will miss out on any future action. While MiTH or ex-MEGA.Conqueror won the 2019 Fall Prelims and finished third in the Fall Global Finals; Faze Clan was neck and neck with RRQ Athena until the final day of the league stage, eventually finishing second. After 6 weeks of play, MiTH finished in a respectable fourth place. However, in the finals, MiTH finished last after finishing in the bottom six in ten of fifteen games. On the other hand, Faze finished 13th after finishing outside the top 10 in 9 of 15 games.

For Golden Cat, Illuminate, and KoG, however, this will be a huge opportunity to show the world that the Thai scene is much more than the RRQs and Faze Clans. Illuminate is a well-known and feared roster, and the team was consistent throughout the league stage, finishing third. The team improved their performance on the final day in the finals, claiming first place with two chicken dinners. Meanwhile, Golden Cat had a strong run on day 2 and held on to finish second. All three teams, along with RRQ Athena, will compete in the SEA Finals against other top SEA teams, with the top two teams advancing to the PMWL East. Illuminate, however, can breathe a sigh of relief because they will only be playing for pride and prize money because their place in the World League is guaranteed.
