The fourth edition of the MLBB World Championship had a total prize pool of $800K, of which $300K and $120K were given to the winners and the tournament runner-up.

On January 15, the Philippines' ECHO defeated Blacklist International to win the MLBB M4 Grand Finals and claim the title of global champion. It was a complete surprise when they shocked the reigning champs with a commanding 4-0 victory. ECHO received the $300K first-place award. Because both teams had played well in their previous games, fans and observers expected a strong rivalry in the championship game. It turned out to be the reverse, and ECHO prevented their rival from capturing consecutive global championships.

A teammate named Bennyqt won the MVP prize for his outstanding gaming. He won $10,000 in prize money. Blacklist lost all of their momenta in the first Knockouts encounter. They were also under a lot of strain since, before that game, they were unbeaten. Both final teams are from the Philippines and are considered among the best in MLBB Esports. A well-known Indonesian team named Hoshi finished third after losing to ECHO. Onic Esports, who finished fourth in the competition, came behind them. Since the Indonesian team (Evos) won the competition's debut season, a Filipino team has won all three MLBB World Championships. Famous squad Todak had a bad run and even dropped their first two games in the Knockouts. The Malaysian team had a strong start to their campaign, winning every game they played in the Group Round, but they struggled in the next stage.

RSG Singapore has participated in the past three iterations of the competition; however, they could not demonstrate their abilities there. Burn x Team Flash also performed badly, winning the $10,000 minimum prize. The MLBB M5 World Championship, which will take place in the Philippines in December 2023, will be a competition that these teams will attempt to win.
