Microsoft's gaming division, Xbox, announced a 10-year agreement with Nintendo to bring Call of Duty (COD) games to the latter's console. Microsoft's president and vice chairman, Brad Smith, tweeted about the agreement.
"We've now struck a definitive 10-year partnership to provide Xbox titles to Nintendo's players. This is just part of our commitment to bring Xbox games and Activision titles like Call of Duty to more players on more platforms," said Smith, who will lead an 18-member delegation to save Microsoft-Activision Blizzard's (approx.) $69 billion deal.

What the Microsoft-Nintendo merger means
Smith included an image in his announcement that provided a brief overview of the Microsoft Nintendo deal. One of the first things mentioned is that Call of Duty games will be released on Nintendo consoles on the same day they are released on Xbox.

Furthermore, the Nintendo port will be the complete game, with no missing content compared to the Xbox port. Essentially, the console company has confirmed that there will be no platform-exclusive goodies for COD players on Xbox Series X/S. The Xbox parent company has stated that this approach will allow Nintendo users to "experience Call of Duty in the same way that Xbox and PlayStation gamers enjoy Call of Duty."
All-in on multi-platform Call of Duty games
Furthermore, the company intends to release content on as many platforms as possible. The announcement said, “We are committed to providing long term equal access to Call of Duty to other gaming platforms, bringing more choice to more players and more competition to the gaming market.” This has been the stance of Microsoft for a long time since it negotiated a buyout deal for COD-owner Activision.
