Many Esports organizations field squads across many games and provide them with the necessary facilities. However, it is highly expensive to pay wages and provide facilities for players. Gourav "JoKeR" Joshi, a pro-Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) player for Team Insidious, has outlined how Indian Esports companies handle their financial affairs. He disclosed the sources of revenue businesses rely on and how they combine their content development pool with brand associations to generate revenue.

JoKeR describes how Esports organizations generate revenue
In a recent webcast, JoKeR played customized BGMI matches. He conversed with his audience while waiting for the contest's organizer to start the match. One of his viewers around this time questioned him about how companies could afford to provide players with every amenity and high wages without a clear funding source. JoKeR responded by stating that each organization has a unique financial structure and roughly categorizes them into two groups: those with a legitimate commercial structure and those funded by an entity that covers expenditures out of its pocket. He used the example of S8UL Esports to illustrate the structure of the earlier category. I can use S8UL Esports as an example, but I don't fully understand how it works.

He added that it is difficult to make money in Esports since it is so expensive to provide bootcamp and other facilities to players as a sponsor. As a result, businesses buy brand deals. "The company developers get funding from various sources in addition to YouTube. In addition, the content producers get additional brand partnerships depending on the amount of social media followers and subscribers they have, "explained him. In exchange for giving the offers, brands and artists pay organizations commissions. The company utilizes this commission to pay for the other components.
The tournament's finalists share the prize money, and the winning team often takes home the lion's share. Therefore, relying only on revenue is unreliable for Esports organizations to maintain sustainability. "Esports prizes are relatively seldom obtained, and the majority of the cash is made via brand partnerships," he said.
S8UL Esports began as a PUBG Mobile organization, but as time passed, it began to put more emphasis on content development and Esports. It now houses some of India's leading game content producers and influences millions of players around the country. S8UL Esports is undoubtedly the most well-known Indian Esports company with its extensive reach. "S8UL Esports places a lot of emphasis on content development. Based on what I know, S8UL Esports may offer better terms than a huge pay. This results in its players earning more money, "added JoKer. JoKeR elaborated further on his claim by saying, "Salary is not the sole source of revenue in this sector. Along with the company's name, they offer athletes greater offers than the salaries they should receive." In preparation for the game's comeback, JoKeR continues broadcasting BGMI on his channel and is now practicing competitive scrims.
