Insomniac’s Wolverine game reportedly set before Logan’s X-Men days
A new rumour claims Insomniac Games’ eagerly-anticipated Wolverine game may take place before Logan teams up with the X-Men.

The Wolverine video game by Insomniac is set before Logan's X-Men exploits
Reporter Jeff Grubb recently presented new information purportedly related to Marvel's Wolverine during a Game Mess Mornings webcast for Giant Bomb. The source said that Insomniac is aiming for an M-rated game with the potential for dismemberment. Additionally, the crew is staying away from anything associated with Fox's X-Men film series. They want it to be self-sufficient, he added.

According to Grubb's information, the game will focus on Wolverine's pre-X-Men exploits. But for now, the reporter cannot ascertain any other information about the scene. Grubb said that "two distinct dates" had been communicated about release intentions. The Wolverine video game by Insomniac may be out "as soon as autumn 2024." Supposed internal discussions also identify the launch timeframe as 2025. Given the anticipated 2023 release of Marvel's Spider-Man 2, a 2024 debut would be a rapid turnaround. However, it wouldn't be the first time Insomniac released two significant PS5 games in 12 months.
