Since Liquid had stronger drafting and counter picking, it won game 1 easily. The other lanes did not go as planned for Secret, as Nisha took full advantage of his superior hero matchup of Batrider vs. Ember Spirit in the midlane. A few kills on Zai's Nature's Prophet gave Secret a brief period of resistance, but Liquid kept playing the game as it should and widened its advantage to win in 28 minutes.

Despite Secret having a somewhat better draught this time, Game 2 was the same. With Sniper vs Leshrac, Nisha was once more dominating BOOM, while Crystallis' problems with Razor persisted as he failed to get off to a solid start. With an early advantage, Liquid's cores got off to a far quicker power spike, and a wise buy by zai of the Nature's Prophet Aghanim Scepter led to the heroes of Secret being Rooted in almost every team fight. A brief scare occurred when Liquid lost all of its heroes while attempting to take the high ground, but Secret could not overcome the early advantage, and the team was crushed in 36 minutes.

"Bro, everything I learnt there. literally all of it. Example? I'm not sure. performing Dota. Nisha, who attributes his career success to his time at Secret, remarked with a grin, "I learnt how to play Dota.

On January 11, Secret and OG will square off, and it will be a crucial series for both teams since they dropped their first match and didn't seem in the best condition with their modified rosters. On the other hand, it will be much more thrilling to see Liquid's next series against Tundra on January 13. It's too soon to say, but based on their success in the first series and the standing of their players, these two teams may wind up being the strongest in the competition.
