G2 Signs Sentinels Valorant Roster
Multiple sources told Dot Esports that European organization G2 Esports has signed five new VALORANT players to compete in the North American Challengers league next year.

G2 Esports has reportedly hired five new important players to represent G2 Esports in the North American Challengers competition next season. Michael "dapr" Gulino and Shahzeb "ShahZam" Khan, who previously played for the Sentinels, will join Version 1 players Erik Penny, Maxim "wippie" Shepelev, and Oxy, who formerly played for the Dark Ratio, along with Ian "Immi" Harding, who will be in charge of the roster.

ShahZaM, dapr are part of G2’s new North American roster
Due to the team's failure to forge a relationship with Riot Games, which would have ensured G2's admission into the Americas international league, the squad will compete in Challengers. Sentinels will join several other notable businesses in the Americas international league next year. In February, a three-week competition will take place in So Paulo, Brazil, including all 30 teams from the three divisions. During the early phases of Valorant, Sentinels dominated the scene and had one of the biggest fan bases. They set a new standard for the game's competitive esports scene while at the top of the food chain. Since then, supporters have complained that the team has weakened and condemned it for not participating in the VCT Champions.

According to the community, the team has lost its competitive edge and hasn't been updating its plans much. In a recent stream, ShahZaM said he believed the IGL should be held accountable for this automatic transfer of blame. Their squad's performance in their professional tournaments was entirely within ShahZaM's control. This is so because the IGL determines each match's choices and strategy. By reaching the first franchising list, Sentinels have secured their place in the VCT Champions competition for the next five years. By fielding a lineup that has been carefully chosen, the club has a major opportunity to reestablish itself on the global scene.

Ian "Immi" Harding, the former head coach of Version 1, will lead the squad. The Challengers circuit will provide a route to the Americas league in 2024 through the Ascension competitions, and G2 will keep an eye on it.

The Challengers Ascension series, which concludes each Challengers split, will determine which player advances to the relevant international league. ShahZaM and dapr would be directly in line to compete against their old group if the squad does qualify. Additionally, they will be seeking retribution after a supposedly uncivil discharge.
