Dubai Esports Festival (DEF 2022) kicked off on the second festival day at the Dubai Exhibition Centre (DEC) in Expo City Dubai.

The first Dubai Esports Festival (DEF 2022), which is being sponsored by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, was launched today by His Excellency Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications.

Initiate Summit
The dignitaries were given a tour of the Dubai Exhibition Centre, which opened to the public on November 9 and is where DEF 2022 will take place. The Festival began with the sold-out Initiate Summit, a two-day ground-breaking B2B information and networking platform for professionals, developers, and creatives in the e-sports and gaming industries.
The Initiate Summit will be held on November 9 and 10 in partnership with Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) and Dubai Media City, a part of TECOM Group and the event's Knowledge Partner. The inaugural edition's phenomenal success, attracting more than 1,000 registrants, demonstrates Dubai's desire for expansion in Esports. Participants will hear from 60 Esports and industry thought leaders at the two-day conference.

The Initiate Summit draws attention to Dubai's support of the creative sector, including Esports, via several incentives for outside organizations and individuals. Additionally, industry trends will be covered, including gamification, mobile gaming, new technologies, investment prospects, consumer behavior, and tournament planning, among other current issues.
