Epic Games Inc. is a PC game and software development company and publisher based in Cary, North Carolina. They built the Unreal Engine, a widely popular known gaming engine that also powers its own video games, such as Fortnite, Gears of War, and Infinity Blade franchises. Epic Games owns Chair Entertainment, Psyonix, Mediatonic, and Harmonix.

More than three years after the internet retailer debuted its great weekly freebies program, the Epic Games Store still gives away free video games each week. Epic has stated that the free game offer would be extended at least until the end of 2022. Epic offers between one and three games available for free every Thursday at about the same time (8:30 p.m. IST). To begin receiving freebies, simply create a free Epic account and activate two-factor authentication. At this point, Epic has distributed over 100 free games, and there is no indication that the initiative will be terminated anytime soon.

From now till May 26 at 8:30 p.m. IST, you can acquire Borderlands 3, Gearbox's 2019 loot shooter for completely free!. Borderlands 3 is one of the most well-known freebies of 2022, owing to the Epic Games Store's Mega Sale. Every year in May/June, Epic offers a massive sale, with notable free games as one of the incentives.

The second of four "Mystery Games" will be available for free next week. Following on from Borderlands 3, expect another outstanding game for free next week. The free game for next week will be available on May 26.
