BOOM Esports Announces New Roster for 2023

Newsroom Nov 28, 2022

BOOM Esports decided to rebuild around the duo of Erin "Yopaj" Ferrer & Saieful "Fbz" Ilham, as the players have renewed their contracts with the organization along with coach Chai "Mushi" Yee Fung.

Overview:

  • BOOM Esports officially announced its newest Dota 2 roster for the upcoming Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) season.
  • BOOM Esports recently parted ways with JaCkky, Tims & skem after their respective contracts with the organization expired.
  • BOOM Esports’ roster for the upcoming season will consist of Natsumi, Yopaj , Fbz, Xepher & Xnova.

The Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) lineup for the 2022–2023 season has finally been revealed by BOOM Esports, which means the roster shuffle season in Southeast Asia (SEA) is still entertaining. Following a successful competitive season, the Indonesian organization recently parted ways with three players. It did, however, reveal the addition of three new players to the squad for the next year.

Although Timothy "TIMS" Randrup, Rolen "skem" Ong, and Souliya "JaCkky" Khoomphetsavong left the squad, BOOM was able to retain Fbz, Yopaj, and Mushi, and they will be content to maintain some sense of familiarity. In this Indonesian-based group, the youngster who screamed "Mama aku di TI" Fbz will no longer be the lone wolf. There might be a new Indonesian superstar that takes the country by storm now that Xepher is a team member

Without representation from the Philippines, a BOOM roster is ineligible. A Filipino-born competitor will inevitably win BOOM Esports, and Natsumi will be that competitor this time. He just won the APAC Predator League in Japan with Polaris Esports, making him a well-known carry in the area.

xNova joins BOOM Esports' roster in addition to xNova to the BOOM Esports lineup is perhaps the most unexpected of all the announcements. After five years of playing in the China area, the Malaysian position 5 makes his way back to Southeast Asia. xNova would bring his priceless expertise to the table, having played for illustrious teams like EHOME and PSG.LGD witnessed notable triumphs. At TI11, he also made headlines when he battled on stage alone after COVID separated his teammates. But when xNova embarks on his new voyage with the Indonesian org, we leave the teddy bears and the lone narrative in the past.

The lineup release for BOOM BOOM Esports took much longer than most anticipated, but it was well worth the wait. Finding synergy would undoubtedly be the biggest issue with this squad despite its promise.
