BGMI Unban in India NOT CONFIRMED by Krafton

In India, Krafton is still dedicated to starting up the BGMI service
The suspension of BGMI hurt the company's mobile business, according to Krafton's CFO Dongkeun Bae, who spoke during a recent conference call to discuss the company's Q4 2022 results. He said the July suspension of BGMI in India "dragged on mobile top line growth." Bae noted that 2022 was a tough year for the firm and recognized the challenges experienced by Krafton's mobile segment. According to him, "2022 was a very challenging operating year for us owing to the global recession and the effect coming from re-opening (lifting of lockdowns), an overall poor economic background, as well as the fact that the services were halted for BGMI in India."
Bae expressed optimism for the mobile division's future despite its challenges in 2022, saying that regional and regulatory uncertainty is anticipated to lessen in 2023. Additionally, he said that Krafton is working very hard to reinstate BGMI services. "We anticipate that by the year 2023, both the regional and regulatory concerns will have begun to subside. We've been working very hard to get BGMI back to work. So I don't think we need to be pessimistic about mobile for 2023," he remarked.

The CEO or CFO, who has not yet been recognized, said that the team had worked very hard to lift the restriction on BGMI in India. Additionally, they thought it would give the game more room for expansion. The team behind BGMI India said, "And for BGMI India, we have put in a lot of work to bring about the unbanning of the sanctions, and we feel that once the ban is lifted, there will be further major development potential." The CEO or CFO (who has not yet been revealed) said, "Going ahead, we anticipate that with BGMI and PUBG Mobile worldwide, we will be able to secure that profitability and drive additional growth in the future."
