What is a game mode in BGMI?
Before we get into the different types of game modes that are available in the game, let us make something clear. What exactly is a game mode in BGMI? Well, these are not the main games, but the extended versions of the games that were released by Krafton. These modes are quite similar to the battle royale style of BGMI, but they come up with some twists. These twists are usually quite fun and make the game more interesting. There are some game modes that have been released, and they are still available to play. However, usually, game modes are not supposed to be available all the time. Most of the game modes are usually released, and then they are made available for a specific time period. Hence, in this blog, we will be getting into all the permanent game modes and some of the most popular ones released during various seasons.

Different Game Modes in BGMI
Without wasting much time, let us get into all the different game modes in BGMI:
Well, of course, there is the classic mode in BGMI, which is the most common battle royale mode where you either go solo or with your squad and play in the classic battle royale style. This is the main game, and when you are downloading the game, you will automatically get access to the classic mode.
Sniper Training Mode
If you want to become a sniper and want to train hard, your teammates do not really provide you with the opportunity. Well, you can get into the Sniper Training Mode and make sure that you train hard there. This is not a game mode per se, it is more like a range area where you can just practice your sniping skills for the upcoming ranked matches.
This is one of the most common modes that is available in almost all battle royale games. Basically, in this mode, you get in and start to kill your opponents, and they immediately respawn. This is basically a way through which you can practice your aims and skills with other players. You will not be allowed to use any abilities or anything else except your weapon, and you have to keep trying to get the maximum number of kills within a short period of time. These three modes are now the permanent modes that come with the game once you download them.
This has to be one of the most popular game modes that have been released quite some time after BGMI was released. The Metro Royale was basically made to give BGMI a more realistic and good graphic feel. Basically, this mode feels like you are playing BGMI on a PC. Hence, you can imagine that this mode requires quite a high resolution and graphics, and thereby, you should make sure that your device can support that before you make up your mind to play it. This mode has three maps in it: Frontline Confrontation, Old Blockade Zone (Basic), and Old Blockade Zone (Advanced). Hence, you can play any of these maps that suit you, but the most popular one was Frontline Confrontation! Another good news is that this game mode has made a return with the new patch in BGMI on July 14th!
Virus Infection Mode
Can you imagine zombies in BGMI? Well, this was exactly what the game mode was! Though it came for quite a short period of time, there was no doubt that the gamers enjoyed this mode thoroughly! So much so that they also want this mode to come back again. What made the whole thing more fun is that it is not just a zombie mode. It mixes zombies, the single shooter game concept, and also the battle royale concept. Basically, the mode is a mixture of all these three concepts and was extremely fun because it was quite challenging and more interesting. However, the mode is not available to play anymore.
Survive Till Dawn Mode
This is another zombie mode that was released after the Virus Infection mode got into some controversy, and was ultimately removed completely. However, Krafton soon came up with a similar mode by removing all those features that were so much objected to. Hence, the Survive Till Dawn is basically a better version of the Virus Infection Mode, and it is still one of the popular BGMI modes that we would recommend to any beginner to try out!
Ancient Secret: Arise
This is a brand new game mode that was released on July 14, 2022. The game mode will be available on three maps as of now: Erangel, Livik, and Miramar. However, you will not be able to play the mode unranked. It is solely exclusive to the ranked versions, so you must practice real hard before you get into the mode. As the name suggests, the mode is based more on ancient sites and temples and has a historic touch to it.
These are some of the most popular and classic game modes that are available in BGMI for the time being. Make sure you check them out and let us know which was your favourite!
